Silverlake Axis’ Newly Acquired SunGard Ambit Secures Contracts with Two Vietnamese Banks
The Board of Directors of Silverlake Axis Ltd (“SAL” or “the Group”) is pleased to announce that its newly acquired subsidiary SunGard Ambit (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. and its subsidiary (“SunGard Ambit”) have secured contracts from two Vietnamese Banks to assist them in their IT transformation.
SacomBank (Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank), a leader in the cards and payment market in Vietnam and a customer of Silverlake Symmetri OmniCard for over 10 years has contracted for a software upgrade to the latest version to support its growing cards business in Vietnam as well as its expansion into Laos and Cambodia on a single platform. Silverlake Symmetri OmniCard provides high levels of flexibility for financial institutions to configure, price and offer new innovative card and payment products.
Viet Capital Joint Stock Commercial Bank (“VCCB”) provides an extensive range of consumer and commercial loans, banking products and services in Vietnam. VCCB has signed a contract to implement Silverlake Symmetri MyMoney, a platform that helps banks enhance the total customer experience by providing personal financial planning tools in an out-of-the box integration with social media platforms. By working with Silverlake Symmetri MyMoney, VCCB can offer a consistent multi-channel experience via the web, mobile and tablet devices, to its customers.
The contracts are expected to contribute positively to the results of SAL in the current financial year. Pursuant to the confidentiality clause stipulated in the contracts, no further details of the contracts will be disclosed.
None of the directors or substantial shareholders of SAL has any interest, directly or indirectly, in the above contracts other than through their respective shareholdings in SAL.
